At SMG Heli you will find two guides for every group and the VERY BEST AStar H125 helicopter in the business. This uniquely modified helicopter with nearly 1,000hp is exclusively outfitted for SMG solely for heli skiing, distinguishing itself from the considerably older and much less powerful machines commonly used in Alaska. SMG strategically chooses to operate with only one helicopter per week, prioritizing a personalized guest experience with access to Chugach, Seward, Tordrillo, Neacola, and Valdez heli skiing. More helicopters create competition for the best Alaska heli skiing so less is always more.

Based in Girdwood at Alyeska Ski Resort, SMG is the ideal location for a family ski vacation. The Alaska Girdwood / Chugach terrain offers diverse options, including open faces, big bowls and of course classic AK spine runs. Anchorage International is just 35 minutes away and provides convenient direct flights and no additional connections are required. Girdwood is so much easier to reach than just about any heli or cat operation in Canada (or Alaska). Daily direct flights to Anchorage from Seattle, LAX, Phoenix, Denver and Minneapolis makes it incredibly easy to get to SMG Alaska Heli.
